Graham is currently undertaking an AHRC funded practice-as-research PhD at Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Arts, Lancaster University.

The research examines the recent ‘theatrical turn’ in the visual arts (the proliferation of visual art work employing theatrical devices) and its potential implications for theatre making. The practical aspect of the research centres around the film of The Making of Us and Masterclass, a contemporary tragedy for the stage.
